At the ATLAS booth (FM.713/2) in the outdoor exhibition area of the 34th bauma, visitors will be able to take an exciting tour of the company’s latest innovations and technologies. They will have the opportunity to experience the versatility of the ATLAS product solutions at first hand and get exclusive insights into the world of state-of-the-art construction machinery and lifting technologies.
One of the innovations that ATLAS will present for the first time at the trade fair is their most compact wheeled excavator: The 135Wsr has a tail swing radius of only 1,620 mm, a swing torque of 40 kNm, and an upper carriage rotation speed of 9 rpm. This short-radius excavator – like any other excavator produced by ATLAS – is 100% made in Germany. The powerful diesel engine as well as all hydraulic components and axles are supplied by renowned German manufacturers.

The 135Wsr features an integrated engine oil level sensor and display that indicates the engine oil volume so the operator can always keep an eye on everything. Refueling is now done from the ground without the need to access the excavator, which can now also be operated using synthetic fuels – another benefit that is not only good for the environment but offers an additional competitive advantage when bidding on eco-friendly tenders. A central lubrication point supplies central lubrication for the upper carriage and arm equipment; as an option, a fully automated version of the central lubrication is available as well.
As an option, the 135Wsr can be fitted with the first split dozer blade made by ATLAS GmbH. This split dozer blade offers decisive advantages for precise and efficient operation. Since the two halves of the blade can be moved independently, it perfectly adapts to uneven surfaces. For even more flexibility, it is also available with an outrigger for confined work areas and, as the first ATLAS excavator, with all-wheel steering (4-wheel steering with serial shifting of the steering cylinders) and crab steering.
A special feature of this new compact short-radius excavator ATLAS 135Wsr is the completely redesigned cab with an even better interior configuration, more space, and a host of stowage possibilities as well as a new air conditioning. The ROPS safety cab structure (roll-over protection) allows to easily stow just the front window or slide the complete unit including the base under the roof. The working lights are integrated into the roof and the door has a sliding window. Additional features contributing to the operator’s comfort are vibration-dampening mounting, sound insulation, tinted laminated safety glass, and separate sun blinds for the roof and windshield. The cab also features an air cushioned operator’s seat with three-dimensionally adjustable arm rests, headrest, seatbelt, seat heating, manual weight setting, adjustable seat cushion angle and length and mechanical lumbar support; a high-resolution control unit; self-explanatory color display (suitable for video); multiple setting, control and monitoring possibilities, like e.g. climate control, fuel consumption, machine and attachment parameters. The standard equipment also includes automatic climate control, including cab dehumidification, heating and automatic air circulation for quick de-icing at the touch of a button. The ventilation flaps are operated via a menu; circulating and fresh air filters can be easily replaced and accessed from the inside. The cab is designed for extreme outside temperatures and the control of the automatic is dependent of the sunlight and the temperatures insight and outside.
